Los Angeles has a history rooted in the stars. Griffith Observatory, in the hills above Los Angeles, holds a special place. It is an observatory, accessible to the public, designed with the purpose of astronomy. There are numerous telescopes, educational exhibits and an entertaining planetarium. Gallifrey One is an annual Doctor Who convention that is fan-run. All things Whovian are celebrated from the classic to the new at this family friendly, lively convention full of costumers and cosplayers. Daleks and K-9s seem to roam free amongst the Doctors and the Masters. The attendance is capped at 3400 providing for a more intimate experience and coveted ticket.

Even if you don't arrive in a T.A.R.D.I.S. here are a few tips to making your Gallifrey One time great. 

Doctor Who fans amass at the annual convention, Gallifrey One, Feb.14-16 at the Marriott Los Angeles Airport Hotel. But as with many things, Whovians aren't bound by normal time, and this convention kicks off not on Friday, but, unofficially at 3 pm on Thursday, Feb. 13.
