Do you know where your towel is?

International Towel Day — May 25

“A towel ... is about the most massively useful thing an interstellar hitch hiker can have.”

The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy

On May 25, Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy fans worldwide pay tribute to creator Douglas Adams by carrying a towel. This towel-carrying tradition is meant to honor a hoopy frood who really knew where his towel was.

Starting life as a British radio series, “The Hitchhiker’s Guide to the Galaxy” grew into a trilogy in five books, stage shows, BBC TV series, a computer game, a comic book, a movie, and then back to a series of BBC Radio dramas. To make life interesting for the collector, there are numerous versions of the book, all with different covers and some with different spellings of the title.

So Happy Towel Day to you hoopy froods!

We know where our towel is! Froods we are!
